When she’s not engrossed in true crime books and podcasts or plucking away on her ukulele, project director Abby loves learning about a variety of different industries.
When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A detective, a veterinarian, and an actress—all at the same time. Naturally, I ended up in advertising.
Any hidden talents?
I play ukulele. I’ve been practicing for about three years and it’s the absolute best way to pass the time and unwind from a long day. I love finding tabs of my favorite songs and trying to put my own spin on them.
What do you like about working at an agency?
In order to work at an agency, everyone has to be a little weird. Even though it takes many different types of brains to comprise a full-service agency, there’s always the underlying commonality of being an oddball that brings us all together.
What is your favorite thing about advertising?
I love that I have been able to learn about such a wide variety of industries. Because of advertising, I have a deeper understanding of topics I would have never researched on my own. Whether it be whiskey distilling or porta-potty manufacturing, finance or health insurance, it’s pretty cool to know a little bit about a lot of things.
What’s your go-to happy hour order?
Whatever craft IPA is on tap. As long as it’s hoppy, I’m happy.
