As AW’s administrative assistant and receptionist, Gwen’s smiling face is the first one you see when you walk in the door, but she helps behind the scenes, too, lending a hand wherever it’s needed to make sure everything runs smoothly for our team and AW’s clients.
Any bucket list items?
I’ve always wanted to go skydiving and to visit the United Kingdom. Specifically, I’d love to travel to Scotland and Ireland to learn how the people there live and what inspires them. A lot of the shows and movies I watch take place in the United Kingdom, and the land looks beautiful. I hope to experience its natural beauty for myself one day.
What is your favorite thing about advertising?
When an ad sparks life into you by presenting what you want as a need. So, you see this ad and immediately “need” the product, service or idea being advertised because the ad is so well done.
What’s your favorite part of being an administrative assistant?
I get to dabble in a little bit of everything and learn a lot along the way. I learn best by doing, and the hands-on experience with the media department and human resources has been incredibly educational.
What inspires you?
I find inspiration in my downtime when I’m doing random activities. It gives my mind the freedom to wander, and it’s at those impromptu moments that I find my ideas.
What real or fictional person would you go on a road trip with?
I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, so I would love to go on a road trip with J.K. Rowling. I’d love to know what else she’s working on and perhaps even get some insight from her on my own writing—like the novel I’m working on—to see if my ideas resonate with her.
