For web development manager Jonathan, there’s always something new to learn, even when it’s time to head for that swimming pool in Florida. Right now, he uses the knowledge he gains to help new prospects learn about our clients.
When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
From spending summers visiting with my grandfather, I was hoping to grow up and become retired. I wanted to live the sweet life relaxing by the pool in Florida just like him, but then I learned I had to work for most of my adult life first…
What aspect of your job are people always surprised to find out?
That no matter how much I learn about the technology, there is always more to learn and a new way to approach it.
What do you like about working at an agency?
All the people, who are specialists in their own field, work together to build something.
What inspires you?
Perseverance. Seeing individuals, groups and communities moving towards a goal and adapting to achieve it. Never failing, only learning and improving. If they can’t find a way, they make one.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Everyone has something to teach me if I stay humble enough to learn. All the people I have met and will ever meet know something I do not. Some teach me what to do, and others teach me what not to do. Some lessons are pleasant, some lessons are painful, but all the lessons are priceless.
