Travel junkie Katie believes experiencing all aspects of advertising, from both the client side and the agency side, has been vital to her personal growth—and she’s got the psychology degree to prove it!

 

When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I was torn between being an anesthesiologist or a psychologist. I ended up getting my undergraduate degree in psychology, but my path led me to advertising.

 

Any bucket list items?

My bucket list is to just travel more. I’ve done a decent amount of traveling so far, but I would love to do even more. Croatia is currently pretty high on my list.

 

What do you like about working at an agency?

I like the idea of being able to see all sides of advertising. I previously worked for Viacom Media Networks, where I worked with, and executed media plans for, agencies, so seeing the agency side of the industry has been so interesting.

 

What is your favorite thing about advertising?

That there are so many aspects to it. There are so many people involved on a single project and it allows for a tremendous amount of collaboration and teamwork.

 

What’s your go-to happy hour order?

An apricot sour!
