Nick Mangia

Starting with custom-painted sneakers, AW digital designer Nick Mangia has been creating from a young age—now he’s stepping it up to design impactful artwork that drives results for our clients.

 

When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?

At 10 years old, I wanted to be a professional ice hockey player and a painter. As I grew older, I started painting on shoes, which became my first business: painting for clients. This led me to become the designer I am today.

 

Any bucket list items?

I would love to go to Italy for a nice vacation—but I might never come back!

 

What makes a great brand?

It’s all about the story behind the brand. People love to know how the brand was started, why it was created, and where the brand is heading!

 

What do you like about working at an agency?

I like that the day-to-day work is never the same— the range of things I get to work on always has me on my toes. This makes working at an agency exciting and refreshing every single day!

 

What’s the best idea you’ve ever had?

The one I will have tomorrow!
