Dan turns complex data into clear, organic opportunities, bringing a problem-solver’s mindset and the same mechanic-level precision he hopes to one day use restoring a sports car.
Any bucket list items?
I would love to restore a fun, sporty car. It doesn’t have to be a show winner, but I want something fun to drive after busting my knuckles, bleeding a bit, and having it give me a really hard time. Completing a build like that and enjoying it for years is definitely on the list.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Don’t trust the stairs. They’re always up to something.
What aspect of your job are people always surprised to find out?
That they actually understand my job after I explain it to them. SEO can sound like a black box of technical jargon, but when you break it down, it makes sense. People are also usually surprised to learn just how much organic marketing lifts all the other channels when it’s done correctly. It’s the rising tide that lifts all boats.
What’s your favorite part of being a senior organic marketing strategist?
I love taking all the disparate data points and sources, diagnosing exactly what a brand’s opportunities are, and then communicating a clear story to the team and the client about how we’re going to fix it. But my absolute favorite part is the client’s reaction when they finally see measurable improvements.
What’s the best idea you’ve ever had?
I’ll let you know after I have it.
What’s your go-to happy hour order?
A Three Dots and a Dash.
